Gurukul Global School conducted a comprehensive workshop on the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) for the teachers in the school.
The Session was conducted by Ms. Pushpinder Kaur, the School Counsellor. The objective of the workshop was to sensitize and refresh the knowledge of the educators about the provisions of the POCSO Act and equip them with the wisdom and skills necessary to identify, address, and report cases of child abuse effectively.
The Session commenced with an overview of the POCSO Act, emphasizing its importance as a legislative measure to safeguard children from sexual exploitation and abuse. The discussion included key legal aspects of the act, such as mandatory reporting, and protection of victims’ identities.
Through this enlightening Session, the teachers gained a deeper awareness of their responsibilities as protectors and mentors. The workshop also underscored the importance of creating a culture of vigilance, trust, and open communication within the school.
