Students of Grade 2 explored the concept of place value in a fun and interactive way using the abacus. Through this hands-on activity, children practiced forming and reading 3-digit numbers by placing beads on the Hundreds, Tens, and Ones rods.
They thoroughly enjoyed sliding the colourful beads and discovering how each bead represented a different place value. The activity made it easier for them to understand how numbers are formed and how the value of a digit changes depending on its position.
It was a joyful and engaging learning session that turned numbers into a playful and exciting adventure!
