HOW I MADE FRIENDS IN MY NEW SCHOOL

HOW I MADE FRIENDS IN MY NEW SCHOOL

On my very first day in Nursery Yellow, my tummy had little butterflies. The classroom looked so big, and there were so many new faces! I hugged my favourite backpack really tight. I missed playing with my old friends and kept wondering, “Will anyone want to play with me today?”

Then, the nicest thing happened! A friend sat right next to me, gave me a giant smile, and said, “Hello!” I felt so happy inside and said “Hi!” back. Before I knew it, we were sharing my bright red and blue crayons and talking about our favourite games. That little moment made all the butterflies in my tummy go away.

Later, it was circle time! We all sat together on the colorful rug, clapped our hands, sang loud, happy songs, and laughed at fun stories. At playtime, we built tall block towers together, and I started making even more friends. Our teacher always reminds us to use magic words like ‘please,’ ‘thank you,’ and ‘sorry,’ and to be good helpers.

I learned that making friends is actually super easy—you just have to share your toys, wear a big smile, and be kind! Now, my classroom feels so warm and fun. My school doesn’t feel scary or new anymore; it feels like my happy second home, where I am brave, confident, and surrounded by my best friends.
