In an enlightening and thought-provoking Workshop, Director Mr. Devraj Setya of Gurukul Global School, addressed the School Faculty on the theme of 'Confidence – The Tree of Growth.' Using the imagery of a tree, he explained how confidence develops, flourishes, and ultimately bears fruit when nurtured with care and awareness.
Mr. Devraj beautifully compared the growth of confidence to the structure of a tree:
• Roots of Confidence: Emotional, social, and religious values that give a person depth and stability.
• Trunk of Confidence: Inspiration, experience, and entertainment that strengthen and support an individual’s journey.
• Branches of Confidence: Point of view, concentration, and taking responsibility that extend one’s reach and broaden perspective.
• Care of Confidence: The role of social feedback, avoiding overconfidence, wrong fertilisers, and dirty water—a reminder that negative influences can hinder growth.
• Fruits of Confidence: Reflection, understanding, and belief, which ultimately lead to model confidence—the ability to inspire and guide others.
Mr. Setya encouraged everyone to internalize these values and nurture their own 'Tree of Confidence' with patience, care, and consistency. He highlighted that just as a tree stands tall when its roots are strong and branches well-spread, an individual’s confidence also grows when rooted in values and cultivated with the right environment.
The workshop concluded with an Interactive Session, leaving participants motivated to not only strengthen their personal confidence but also to become role models of confidence in their communities.
